Oster Delivers, Drane Shuts the Door as Oswego JV Tops Lyons 1–0
Oswego JV earned a gritty 1–0 shutout win over Lyons on Sunday, showcasing disciplined defense and standout goaltending from Drane, who turned aside all 22 shots he faced.
The game’s lone goal came midway through regulation when Logan Oster buried a perfect feed from Carson MacLennan, breaking through a tight Lyons defense. Despite even shot totals — 22 apiece — Oswego generated the higher-quality chances and maintained composure during key penalty kills.
Physical play defined much of the matchup, with Allen (2) and MacLennan serving time for Oswego, while Lutzow, Alessi, Boyce, and Martens drew penalties for Lyons.
The win highlights Oswego JV’s growing confidence in close games as they continue to build momentum early in the season. Oswego JV’s record improves to 3-1 after Sunday’s game.
Oswego travels to Canlan next Sunday to take on Nequa in an away match.
