Big Third Period Lifts Oswego JV to Impressive Win Against Naperville
Game Recap – Tuesday, November 14, 2025
Oswego JV 5, Naperville 3
Oswego JV put together one of its strongest performances of the season on Tuesday night, defeating Naperville 5–3 behind a hat trick from Jake Reppy and a surge of third-period momentum.
Naperville opened the scoring in the first with a goal from Hassan, but Oswego responded in the second period with a power-play strike from Reppy, set up by Blankenburg and Gibertini. After a shorthanded goal by Malesky briefly put Naperville back in front, Oswego answered again when Reppy buried his second of the night off crisp passing from Gibertini and Wozniak.
Oswego took control in the third period. Reppy completed the hat trick on a setup from MacLennan and Oster, giving Oswego its first lead. Naperville tied the game on a power-play goal by Waits, but Oswego responded with poise and pressure.
Nathan Gibertini broke the tie with a well-placed shot off a feed from Cetnar, and Brendan Wolford, assisted by Graham, sealed the win with an insurance marker late in regulation.
Oswego’s discipline wavered at times — penalties went to MacLennan, Oster, Blankenburg, and Dembinski — but the PK held strong when needed. In net, Drane delivered a steady performance with 25 saves, while Oswego outshot Naperville 38–28.
With the victory, Oswego JV improves to 4–9 on the season, earning a confidence-boosting win heading into their next matchup.
